The J class has been invited by America’s Cup Events to host its World Championship between October 7 and 11, 2024, with a training regatta scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2024.
Initially known as the 100 Guinea Cup, the regatta took place around the Isle of Wight in England. In 1851, the first foreign boat was authorized to participate in the regatta. It was the “America” and was built with an innovative design that led to the victory of the regatta that eventually changed its name to finally be called the “America’s Cup” as we now know it. The “J Class” was born.
