THE AC75
The AC75 are the pinnacle of hydrofoil monohulls. Created for the 36th America’s Cup, they are a technological leap with respect to conventional boats, as Formula 1 is with respect to cars. Hydrofoils lift them above the water and allow them to generate so much momentum that they travel 4 times faster than the wind.
For the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup, the second generation of AC75 will be even faster, with wider hydrofoils and improvements in all aspects. They will carry eight crew members and some of the best sailing talent will compete on board.
THE AC40
The AC40s, for their part, are the boats used for the Women’s and UniCredit Youth America’s Cup events and as training boats for the main teams competing in the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup. Smaller, but not Less powerful, with a crew of four, these pocket rockets were presented with great fanfare in September 2022, and their performance has been astonishing.
